Our StafF
Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling staff members are dedicated to supporting gamblers, their families, and the public through advocacy, education, training, prevention, and research in the area of problem gambling.
 

Marvin A. Steinberg, Ph.D.
Executive Director

Marvin is the co-founder and current Executive Director of the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling. He has also served as Vice President and Secretary for the National Council on Problem Gambling and continues to serve on the Board of the National Council. He is a clinical psychologist and received a Masters and Ph.D. at the University of Texas. [ email ]

Mary A. Drexler, MSW
Assistant Director

Mary has been in the field of social services since 1979, with several years of experience in nonprofit management. She also has extensive experience in the field of suicidology, having served 3 years on the Council of Delegates for the American Association of Suicidology. She holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. [ email ]

Elizabeth M. McCall
Prevention Educator
Liz received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Saint Anselm College in Manchester New Hampshire.  She worked in Hospital Quality Assurance and as an educator in a public school system.  Liz has been working with CCPG for two years managing the Helpline database, the self-exclusion program, and prepping survey research for statistical analysis. Currently, Liz is working on her Masters degree in Social Work. [email]

Carlos Reinoso Jr.
Coordinator: Statewide Outreach & Community Relations
Carlos has been in the field of Human Services since 1998. He has worked in clinical and educational settings, collaborating with many community organizations. Carlos has an extensive background in the areas of case management, training, and community prevention/education activities. He enjoys working with the public and works well with people of many diverse backgrounds. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese as well. He has an Associates Degree in Human Services and Behavioral Healthcare, a Bachelors of Science in Human Services and Psychology, and a certificate in Gerontology. He is pursuing his Masters in Community Counseling.  [email]

Margaret A. Rosamilia
Office Administrator

Peggy received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from SUNY at Geneseo, New York. Peggy has over 25 years experience in the administration field. Her responsibilities in the past have included: development and implementation of training nationwide; coordination of accounting functions for several companies; and human resource management. Her responsibilities as CCPG Office Administrator include fiscal and human resource management. [email]
